Here were my contributions to our school's PTO pumpkin raffle. I did it because I like doing them and the kids enjoy it too. I must say, though, it is getting harder to enjoy some of these little extras when you feel unappreciated....I know that the kids and some parents do, (at least ONE that I know of, for sure) but administration in our district doesn't seem to...oh, well. I think that they are cute...(remember I set this blog up so that I can express myself...it may not be what others want to hear, but it is what is on my mind!)

Children with Hair Loss
DURING

AFTER

I have been saying I wanted to donate my hair and today I did it! I haven't had my hair cut in over 2 years. Children with Hair Loss was having a cut-a-thon at Sam's Club. Free hair cuts with an 8 inch donation. I did it. The guy who cut my hair said that I definitely got the prize for the thickest hair. He was able to make 8 pony tails (about 8 inches long) with my hair. Here's a few pics from today.

Moderating comments

If she only had a heart....
I know, I'm bad. It was not intentional that Jenna happened to be the one character from the Wizard of Oz that didn't have a heart...I was thinking more that if she really didn't want to be a Tin Man, she could pass for an Ice Princess. Either way, it suits her. I really do love my daughter, she is just a challenge. I have enough challenges in my life; I wouldn't mind one less.
Anyway, here is Jenna's costume. Taffeta is less than easy to work with...it snags often. It doesn't help when I just free handed this (no pattern) One side ended up longer so it doesn't lay real well...there is wire in the bottom, giving the hoop look, but that wasn't easy to work with either....the hat is a funnel covered with material...it doesn't stay on her head real well, but it will work well enough! Anyway, for a job that only took a couple hours, not too shabby....

Jack of all Trades....
